Seems like an honest guy, but it's been sitting for at least 2 years maybe more. He wants 5k for it, but looking at everything else, hard to say how it moves and runs without taking his word for it. Distance From Corpus christi, Texas Update.

He said the engine was rebuilt not long ago and the hydraulics were strong and didn't leak. I also noticed the track adjuster spring is broke on the left side and what chrome is sticking out of the adjuster cylinder is rusted off on both left and right sides. He does have new bearings and a pinion gear. He said Cat came out a few times and he's done putting more money into it.

He didn't know this until Cat came out to install it and let him know. Turned out it was a 44 tooth sprocket instead of a 49 tooth sprocket. He had a friend in a different state who had a final drive and sold it and shipped it to him. Pinion and bull gear are worn, destroyed some of the bearings, and wobbled out the spacer tube between the final drive hub and the sprocket. He had problems with the right final drive. I could make out the 3308, so that matches for the engine. I see I made a mistake in the number, it is 22. I could make out the 94J2238, and figured that number is the serial number. The ID plate has been painted over a few times and hard to read. The seller didn't really know other than on the seat box there was a decal "D5B". The dozer I am looking at has been taken apart.
